EFFECTIVE DATE: 5 YEARS FROM INVOICE DATE
APPLICABLE PRODUCT(S): ANY SLEEPCENTER BEDS POCKET SPRUNG MATTRESSES
WARRANTY COVERAGE – LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS:
Your new Sleepcenter mattress is covered by a Limited Warranty™ (the “Warranty”) for the full period of the original owner’s (“you”, “your”) ownership and use.
Excludes a resold mattress .
WHO IS COVERED:
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser from the original purchase date of the Mattress and is non-transferable. The “original purchaser,” for the purposes of this Warranty, is the first purchaser of the Mattress from Sleepcenter Beds Australia and or New Zealand .
Please retain a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase and owner. If the original purchaser sells or otherwise relinquishes ownership of the mattress to another, this Warranty terminates and the subsequent owner accepts the product “as is” and “with all faults.”
WHAT IS WARRANTED:
This Warranty extends to mattresses sold by Sleepcenter beds Store or online only .
Sleepcenter warrants the Mattress in its original packaging sold to you against the defects in material and workmanship set forth below (“Defects”) for the full 5 years from purchase date .
Replaced or repaired Mattresses time frame are subject to the same Warranty as the original Mattress.
For example, if you obtain a replaced or repaired Mattress the warranty term of the replaced or repaired Mattress begins from the date of purchase of the original Mattress.
Mattresses must be brought back to the store at the owners cost for any replacement .
THE FOLLOWING DEFECTS ARE COVERED:
Have visible indentation greater than 4.5 cm that is not associated with an indentation or sag which results from use of an improper or unsupportive foundation or bed base.
If used on a slat base , unless the slats are solid and flat with a gap no more than 8 cm between the slats , the warranty is void .
Please do Not use flexible slats bases on our pocket sprung mattresses as the warranty will be voided immediately as these slats are not designed for pocket sprung mattresses.
– Any manufacturing defect in the assembly of the Mattress Cover.
THIS MATTRESS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
Normal wear and tear. A normal increase in softness of the foam pressure-relieving material which does not affect the pressure-relieving qualities of the Mattress;
A Mattress that has been on Flexi slats or A slat base with improper gap between the slats .[misuse]
New Bed odour
Bed Bugs (our products has been fumigated, won't cause bed bugs)
Any product that has had the cover removed for any reason–removing the mattress cover will void this warranty;[misuse]
- Handles (where fitted) - these should be used to position the mattress and are not designed to carry the full weight of the mattress
- Border wires (which run along the perimeter of the mattress and foundation)which are bent due to moving or bending the mattress .
Any damage due to environmental causes;[ act of god]
Any product which has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or used in violation of instructions, including instructions to place mattress on proper bed frame; [ misuse ]
Comfort preference; after purchasing the mattress [ change of mind ]
Defects caused by physical abuse or damage to the structure and/or cover material, including but not limited to: burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, or stains; [ misuse ]
Mattresses sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the Mattress is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer;[2nd hand goods act ]
Any product that has been relocated by the customer to a physical location outside Australia or New Zealand .
WARRANTY REMEDY:
In the event of a Defect (as defined above), Sleepcenter beds sole liability and your sole remedies under this Warranty will be:
– For the first 5 years of ownership, we will replace your Sleepcenter mattress with a brand new Sleepcenter mattress of equal value at absolutely no charge to you.
Customer pays for the shipping if required .
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
In order for this Warranty to apply, the Mattresses must be used on a firm, solid-surface, such as a bed base that is structurally capable of supporting the weight of the Mattress and user(s) for the entirety of its use.
You must return your Mattress or Mattress Cover and show proof of original purchase.
Sufficient proof must be given to show that the mattress has not been misused.
You will be responsible for the shipping fee, each way, associated with shipping replaced or repaired Mattresses.
The decision to be replaced or not will be Sleepcenter beds discretion , we may authorize you to provide photo evidence of defect in lieu of returning the Mattress.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
- Fabric wear and tear (including stains, soiling, burns or pilling)
- Damage while incorrect assembly or using power tools .
- Normal body indentations
- Change of mind after delivery / pick up .
- Sheet fit
- Bed / Drawer damage due to an unsuitable foundation / floor
- Bed bugs / smell / damage / fading colour due to moisture / direct sunlight .

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IN SO FAR AS SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED.
ARBITRATION:
In the event a dispute arises between you and Sleepcenter Beds arising out of this Warranty, such dispute will be determined and settled by binding arbitration between the parties, in accordance with the Consumer Law of New Zealand .
